Tip-Up Chair by Ligne Roset, 1990s
The Tip-Up Chair is a playful and meditative rocking chair that invites relaxation, balance, and serenity. Its sculptural silhouette expresses both physical and spiritual comfort, blending influences from Japanese culture with the ease and playfulness of Latin design traditions.
Based on a prototype by Catherine and Bruno, Ligne Roset selected this concept for production, developed with an eco-design approach. The body was made locally from recyclable resin (PE), while the various components can be easily separated at the end of the product’s life cycle — a forward-thinking design decision that reflects Ligne Roset’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
