“Groeten uit Holland” Lounge Chair by Rob Eckhardt, Netherlands, 1980s

A distinctive “Groeten uit Holland” lounge chair designed by Dutch designer Rob Eckhardt in the 1980s and produced by Dutch Originals / Gebr. van der Stroom. A characteristic example of Dutch postmodern design, the chair combines an expressive sculptural form with a strong architectural presence.

The design features angular armrests, a sculptural seat and a graphic backrest with a stylized tulip motif, a recognizable reference to Dutch culture.
