“Make & Mold” Low Stool by Rutger de Regt, Netherlands, 2013

A sculptural “Make & Mold” low stool designed by Dutch designer Rutger de Regt in 2013. Created from recycled polypropylene thermoplastic, the stool combines a simple geometric form with irregular, almost torn-looking openings that reveal the experimental nature of its construction.

The textured black surface and raw edges give the piece a strong handcrafted and industrial character. Functional yet highly sculptural, the stool reflects De Regt’s experimental approach to materials and manufacturing, resulting in an object in which the production process becomes part of the design itself.
