Modernist Teak Desk, Netherlands, 1960s

A distinctive Dutch modernist desk from the 1960s, combining clean architectural lines with the warmth and character of teak wood.

The desk features a beautifully grained teak top, elegantly contrasting with the black horizontal framework and tapered black legs. Its balanced design is defined by two suspended storage compartments, giving the piece a light, almost floating appearance.

On the left, a lockable cabinet provides practical storage, while the right side features four spacious drawers. Two discreet pull-out writing surfaces, positioned just beneath the desktop, offer additional workspace when needed.

The warm teak tones, refined proportions and understated detailing give this desk a timeless mid-century character. With its compact dimensions and generous storage, it is equally suited to a home office, study or contemporary interior.
